THE WOMAN BEHIND THE WORDS

Hi! 👋🏼

I’m Samaira, from the beautiful market town of Glossop – located on the borders of the famously picturesque Peak District.

I have a mixed British and Pakistani heritage, but I was born in Manchester, UK and shortly moved to the countryside, where I’ve resided ever since.

During the global pandemic, my partner Si and I bought our first house that we painfully renovated to create our dream home - which I now proclaim as my copy headquarters.

But, our house is not a home without our two cats – Jafar and Safiya.

When I’m not smothering my cats with unwavering affection, you can find me scrambling up the countryside hills, whipping up a new recipe, or geeking out to The Hobbit trilogy for the 85th time.

I launched my career as a Freelance Copywriter in 2022 with the dream of igniting my purpose and helping like-minded businesses do the same.

Where It Begin

A LITTLE BACKSTORY

After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Media Production, I fell into a hopeless post-grad pit.

The opportunities were there, but the playing field was relentless.

While on the job hunt, I devoted time to growing my blog and found a passion for content creation.

Shortly after, my blog ranked highest on Google for media producers in my local area - leading to my discovery and landing me a job at a premium digital marketing agency.

After starting my career as a Marketing Assistant, I soon developed invaluable skills within a rapidly growing business.

I worked alongside some of the most innovative minds in marketing for four years and confidently grew into a leadership role as a Content Strategist.

Following several years of managing a team of copywriters and driving the monthly blogs, email newsletters, and social media – I discovered I was playing on the wrong side of the field.

Armed with the breadth of knowledge gained as a Content Strategist, I took a leap of faith to help purpose-led businesses craft thought-provoking copy that educates, resonates and inspires change.
